Our Philosophy
Breeding means taking care of life in a responsible way. For this reason, every kitten born at Elinor Woods is the result of conscious choices, respect for the Maine Coon breed, and great love for animals.
Adoption Criteria
- Adoption only after an introductory interview.
- Completion of a pre-adoption questionnaire is required.
- Adoption only to those who can guarantee suitable living conditions (space, time, affection).
Requirements for Adopters
- A safe and protected environment (secured balconies, no household hazards).
- Sufficient time to take care of the kitten.
- Financial stability to support the cat over time (food, veterinary care, grooming).
Our Commitments
- Kittens are placed only after 14 weeks of age.
- Vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and with ANFI pedigree.
- Litter-trained, accustomed to human contact, and used to grooming.
Adopter’s Commitments
- Guarantee a dignified and respectful life.
- Do not leave the cat alone for too many hours a day.
- Keep in touch with the cattery during the first months of the kitten’s life.
